Proper brushing takes at least 2 minutes — that’s right, 120 seconds bet you didn’t know that! To properly brush your teeth, you must use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gum-line, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration. Concentrate on thoroughly cleaning each section and make sure you

  • Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the gums.
  • Gently move the brush back and forth in short (tooth-wide) strokes.
  • Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth.
  • To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down strokes.

Proper brushing is of utmost importance in order to maintain dental hygiene. Always remember, a healthy brushing routine goes a long way in protecting that beautiful smile.
